People with a literacy problem don't read pamphlets so we are looking for people willing to attend your local community network meetings and liaise with other community groups about posters and flyers etc. Maybe to run info stalls at community events too.
Cleaning the organisation's cars that are used to transport clients.
Listening to students read and helping them with a worksheet to improve their reading levels.
Working in the environment, potting up native trees, weeding trees, planting
Going into Te Hapara school and supporting children with basic literacy/numeracy skills one to one or in small groups.
Going into the school and supporting children with basic literacy skills. This may include reading stories, playing word games, letter recognition and language experience activities.
