Your existing skills could be painting, engineering, carpentry, cleaning, even simply the ability to lift and move objects. OR you may want to be guided by one of our experienced volunteers while assisting them with a task at hand. Perhaps your interest lies in becoming involved in today's aviation industry and you would like to know more about the construction and history of aircraft in days gone by. As a younger person seeking an aviation career, volunteering in this capacity and learning from our volunteer experts would be a positive addition to your knowledge and your CV. While we are encouraging youth 16+ into this field we welcome anyone, retired or working who has the time to lend a hand, If this sounds like you, let's chat.

Requirements:
  • Good fitness level to be able to assist with shifting of equipment
  • An interest or previous experience in any of the trades e.g. mechanics, engineering, carpentry.
  • Be comfortable being part of our mostly retired team of volunteers and assisting them in their tasks at hand
  • Good listening ability will not only assist with learning new skills, it will endear you to our team of volunteer enthusiasts who love to chat about their involvement in industries that brought them eventually to aviation restoration
  • If you have talents/skills we haven't mentioned that could be useful, we would love to know
Time commitment:

We are open Tuesdays and Sundays 9 a.m. until 2pm and would welcome whatever day and time you can spare
A 4-month commitment to this role is expected BUT of course we hope you would be happy to continue for longer as a valued member of our volunteer team
