WanderSearch devices help to locate individuals who are at risk of getting lost or going missing due to dementia, neurodivergence, or disabilities. These devices are small, radio frequency-emitting devices worn by people who are at risk of going missing. Trained Land Search and Rescue Volunteers and the Police can listen for its signal, aiding in the location of the individual. As a volunteer your role is crucial in supporting the programme which provides reassurance to the missing person, their loved ones and the search and rescue team. By volunteering to deliver these devices to this vulnerable community sector and ensure six-monthly swaps are done so the device remains current you help to prevent possible tragedy.
