Here at Gizzy Kai Rescue, we are passionate about the possibilities food rescue delivers for both our community and our environment. We rescue food that would otherwise be destined for landfill or animal feed, reducing food waste and redirecting the healthy edible food to those in need throughout the community.
Our Toyota van is our workhorse and completely necessary for our food rescue mahi. This important volunteering role will keep our van clean and tidy - the hours are flexible to fit your schedule but will also need to work in with our GKR kai collections.
The role involves either going through a car wash or manual exterior wash, and vacuuming and cleaning the interior (cab and back).
A volunteer registration and short induction process will be completed prior to starting.
1 - 2 hours fortnight or monthly, flexible to fit your and GKR schedules. Equipment and cash wash vouchers supplied.
So join the GKR volunteer crew contributing towards positive impacts for the community and the environment.
Quarterly social opportunities (optional) meet and connect with other GKR volunteers (if that's your thing).
Our volunteers are from 17-80 yrs, from diverse backgrounds and a real good bunch!
