NZ Blood Service comes to Gisborne four times a year, currently February, May, August and November. As part of a thank you to donors they provide free refreshments at a table manned by volunteers. Duties include meeting and greeting those who come up for a beverage, making their beverage, keeping a watch on them and reporting if anyone appears to be having difficulty after donating, replenish the the donor table and keeping the area tidy and free of obstructions. This would be particularly suited to young mums who have school hours free and would welcome a chance to socialise. If this sounds like you, apply now and we will add you to the on-call roster.

Requirements:

No adverse reaction to seeing blood or needles
A steady hand for pouring the beverages
Comfortable engaging with the general public
Good observation
Tidy and organised

Time commitment:

Two shifts are available each of the three days of a visit - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 3 hours in the morning or 3 hours in the afternoon. Your choice as to which day and time best suits your schedule.
