Gain an understanding of board roles and responsibilities. Act as a spokesperson by encouraging youth volunteers into our not-for-profit organisation and providing feedback from your contemporaries on matters that impact youth. Support your community.

Requirements:

Aged between 16 and 24, ideally suited to a Year 12 or 13 student
Interest in governance and/or business operations,
Commitment to attending meetings, a respectful listener and good communicator
Interest in food, community and/or environment an advantage

Time commitment:

Two max hours monthly :
.5hr - prior reading board reports
1hr - monthly board meeting ( face to face preferable , zoom option available)
.5hr - actions from board meeting if any
Gizzy Kai Rescue has 9-10 meetings per year between Feb-Dec.
The candidate would not be expected to attend meetings during exam periods.

The successful candidate will also be encouraged to attend one or two GKR sorting shifts (1hr) so as to get an understanding of how the organisation works
