This is a wonderful fit for mature adults who enjoy connecting with people and creating positive experiences. If you come from a customer-facing background and feel comfortable handling small cash transactions, you’ll feel right at home. With a few retail items available for purchase, you’ll play a valued part in making each visitor’s experience warm, and welcoming. Each shift is shared with another volunteer, so you’ll always have someone alongside you. During quieter moments, there’s time to enjoy a chat, and get to know one another—perhaps even forming a lovely new friendship along the way. Full training and a uniform are provided. Essentially, being a greeter is about making people feel seen, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they arrive. If this sounds like you, come join our team.

Requirements:
  • Customer service experience a bonus but not essential
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Good communication skills
  • Empathy and patience with a diverse range of visitors
  • Comfortable with a small amount of cash handling
  • Reliability
  • Confidentiality is essential

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Choose from one 3 or 4 hour shift a week - either 9.00 am to 1.00 pm or 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm.
