Living with a brain injury can be challenging. Many of the actions we take for granted can suddenly become overwhelming, out of reach or just unachievable. Brain Injury Association Gisborne (BIAG) offers support and resources to those who are affected – whether it be their own injury or the injury of a loved one. We understand the daily struggles, the constant readjustments required and we have the resources and links you need to begin enjoying life again! If you think you or someone close to you has had a brain injury, get medical advice as soon as possible. In the first instance see your GP. BIAG can also help with your recovery by offering: • Support for you and your family, whānau • Education and information • Help to find appropriate professional assistance and services • Advocacy and liaison with GP’s, ACC, WINZ the healthcare system and other agencies
