SKIPPER

Organisation:
M V Takitimu
Category:
Practical Help
Hours:
Both/Flexible
Location:
Gisborne

Our historic vessel offers a unique experience on the water, hosting scenic excursions, private functions and trips for visitors and locals exploring our region.

We’d love to offer even more trips throughout the season, but to make this happen, we're looking for additional volunteer skippers with a current SRL Master’s Certificate to take the helm and help us keep the vessel sailing.

We run regular trips every Sunday, with additional bookings registered for weekdays and Saturdays. During busy periods, particularly when cruise ships are in port, we often run multiple tours in a day.

As part of our skipper team, there is no expectation that you be available for every trip. We're simply looking for experienced skippers who are happy to share the load, lend a hand when they can and help us make the most of the season.

You'll bring your professional skills and experience to the helm, enjoy time out on the water and play an important role in giving our passengers a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience. We have a minimum of two crew members on board to look after passengers and share interesting commentary along the way.

If you hold a current SRL Master’s Certificate and would enjoy putting your skills to good use on an historic vessel, we'd love to hear from you. Come aboard and be part of our team! Apply now
