She Creates Tairāwhiti is a newly formed venture with an exciting vision - to create more opportunities, connection and support for wāhine artists across our Tairāwhiti region. Every dollar raised is vital, so we are also looking for an ideas person who thinks outside the box and creates fresh, fundraising ideas to inspire others to support our mission and our amazing community artists

As a valued board member you will work alongside other board members to:

  • explore and apply for grants
  • assist in developing a fundraising strategy
  • bring along your exciting ideas for fundraising
  • advise on generated revenue from fundraising activities and events
  • participate in discussions around budgets and financial planning
Requirements:
  • appreciation of art and support of our mission and growth
  • easy and effective communicator with a diverse range of people - board members, funding agencies, corporates, general public
  • computer skills for report writing, basic database or spreadsheet knowledge

Previous fundraising experience is a bonus but not essential, only your enthusiasm and commitment to see our art community thrive

Time commitment:

As a board member, you will serve in this role for the required governance term with opportunity to extend
You may be asked to join sub-committees to provide expertise
Monthly meeting days/times to be advised
