Welcome the community to free Hato Hone St John"3 Steps for Life" sessions hosted by Whānau Āwhina Plunket, and help more people feel prepared to respond in an emergency.
Every second Friday of the month, you'll welcome attendees to this free community session, facilitated by Hato Hone St John, at the Whānau Āwhina Plunket building, helping create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere from the moment people arrive. You'll set up morning tea, greet everyone as they come in, and be on hand to support the session running smoothly, with time either side for setup and pack down.
This session is open to anyone in the community and teaches simple steps to help in an emergency involving an unresponsive person. By hosting, you're helping build a community that's more confident and prepared to respond when it matters most.
For you, it's a chance to meet new people, be part of something genuinely valuable to the community, and support an organisation that's backed whānau for over 110 years.
Approximately 1.5 hours every second Friday of the month (session runs from 10am - 11am, with time required either side for setup and pack down).
