Supergrans is fortunate in the amount of donated goods it receives to give back to those in our community who need a helping hand. These goods of course come with disposable packaging. Your role as our Recycling Champion is to bring order to our workplace environment while supporting effective recycling and health and safety of our staff, volunteers and clients. To achieve this you would be

  • flattening cardboard to place in Green Bin with any overflow added to the trolley
  • Ensuing all recycling items ae clean and in the appropriate bins and station
  • Keeping the recycle area clean and tidy which might include mopping floors, keeping walls stain free etc.
  • Assist with disposal at the Gisborne Recycling Centre
  • Pig bucket pickups are scheduled and when returned need to be cleaned ready for the next pickup

If keeping things tidy, clean and safe for others is important to you, we would love to welcome you to our fabulous team of volunteers. Come along and be appreciated and recognised for your volunteering mahi with us.

Requirements:
  • physically able to lift reasonably light loads
  • an eye for detail
  • adherence to health and safety requirements
Time commitment:

Tuesday 10-12pm, very flexible to negotiate time however this day would be suitable to combat recycling overflow & transportation.
A 3-month commitment to this role is expected BUT of course we hope you would be happy to continue for longer as part of our team
