Here's your opportunity to enjoy the smiles, laughter and excitement when you join us as a volunteer at our annual Tairawhiti Children's Day Sunday 29 March.
It’s only with the help of our supporters that Barnardos is able to make a positive, long-lasting difference for children. Once a year we celebrate them by holding a special Tairāwhiti Children's Day, inviting them and their whanau to enjoy a day of fun and connection.
We need fit and able bodies to help us set up gazebos, and/or pack down at the end of the day. If you love putting on a good BBQ we have just the right role for you - if you can stick around and help throughout the day that would be even better. Let's not forget the bouncy castle! Help keep it safe by lending a hand to climb in and out, making sure everyone gets a turn. Three great volunteer opportunities available to make this a magical day for all.
Fit and able bodied to help with the gazebo
Welcoming and enthusiastic about getting that BBQ service just right
Friendly, approachable and safety conscious for the Bouncy Castle
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
The event is from 10am to 2pm but we would need your help an hour or so beforehand and after if you can stay.
