Event Set Up Volunteers - Relay for Life 2025

Relay For Life - Te Ara Toiora is an inspiring community event that gives everyone a chance to whakanui (celebrate) people who have or have had cancer and the people who care for them; maumaharatia (remember) loved ones lost to cancer; and tū atu (fight back) by raising awareness and funds for the Cancer Society.

We need volunteers to assemble gazebos, setting up pigtails on the drive-through area, moving gear into correct spaces, inserting signage and flags, track marking, directing caravans.

Requirements:
  • Fit
  • Able to lift heavy items
  • Able to walk distances across the venue
Time commitment:
  • 4 hour shift between 9am and 5pm on Friday, 28th March
