Christmas Wrappers 2024

Organisation:
Gisborne Volunteer Centre
Category:
Events
Hours:
Both/Flexible
Location:
Gisborne

Have a wrap technique you'd like to share? Do we have a showcasing opportunity for you! Join one of our teams who wrap for a cause bringing relief to The Warehouse customers who want to hide contents from prying eyes or simply don't like wrapping like you do.

By joining Gisborne Volunteer Centre's annual fundraising event you will also be supporting our region's not for profit organisations and their volunteers. Don that festive T-shirt, hat, glasses, whatever and give those Christmas shoppers an opportunity to chat with you and provide a koha, while you wrap their gift.

You will be standing for part of the time but chairs are available. Standing or sitting, there will be something for you to do.

A pre-event volunteer get together will provide you with all the necessary information of what to do along with a chance to show us your wrapping skills and enjoy some nibbles and laughter. Apply now to secure your spot on the roster and we will be in touch with you directly.

Requirements:
  • Simple wrapping skills of cutting paper and sticking it together with cello tape
  • Commitment to your selected time-frame
  • Great customer focused friendly communication
  • Calm under pressure when wrapping gets busy
  • Enjoy being part of a two or three person team
  • A genuine interest in and desire to support and promote our volunteer community
  • No age limit, but those under 16 must be supervised by their own adult support person
Time commitment:

2-hour slots are available between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. from 14th to 24th December.
You may choose to do more than one time slot
