Board Secretary

The role of secretary supports the board by ensuring the agenda, supporting documentation and previous month's minutes are distributed prior to the monthly meeting. During the meeting take the minutes, accurately noting action requirements and resolutions. Participate, where appropriate, in board discussions on matters arising. Assist other board members with any required board reporting. This role would suit a person with secretarial experience and access to a computer.

Requirements:
  • An interest in the local not for profit sector
  • Experience on boards a bonus, but not essential
  • Good listening and writing skills
  • Knowledge and experience with google docs
  • Attention to detail
Time commitment:

Our meetings are currently monthly on the second Monday at 5:30pm for about an hour. Time for meeting agenda creation and reading board docs required before meetings and sending out the minutes completing any actions (if required) post meeting, Total approx. 2.5hours monthly
