We are a volunteer run charity providing pēpi packs filled with essential baby items for whānau in need.

Role overview:

The Co Manager will work alongside the current Manager to share responsibility for the following:

  • Coordinating and communicating with volunteers
  • Volunteer recruitment, on boarding and training
  • Scheduling and oversight of referrals
  • Maintaining relationships with Community Partners
  • Developing, improving and adapting processes
  • Planning & decision making
  • Contributing to organising events & fundraisers
  • Attending networking events
  • Supporting funding and grant applications
  • Communicating with our National Management Team (including quarterly meetings)
  • Ensuring Health and Safety requirements are upheld
  • Maintaining and looking after our working space
  • Responding to email enquires
Requirements:

This person will have the following skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent coordination and planning skills
  • Self motivated and able to work independently (using initiative)
  • Confident in decision making
  • Passionate and able to advocate for the benefit of our service
  • Cultural competency

This person would ideally have:

  • Experience with volunteer or team management / leadership
  • Some knowledge of the challenges facing our region relating to child poverty, material deprivation and other intersecting challenges facing whānau
  • Some knowledge of the social / community services sector in our region
Time commitment:

8 - 10 hours per week approximately
