Use your creativity to paint and personalise coffins alongside a welcoming, hands-on community.
This is a practical, creative role where you’ll help paint coffins and support members as they add their own personal touches. Some people come in with clear ideas, others just need a bit of guidance, so you might be painting, prepping surfaces, or helping someone bring their design to life.
The vibe is relaxed, social, and often full of good conversation. It’s hands-on work, but there’s plenty of laughter along the way too.
You don’t need to be a professional painter. If you’ve got some experience, a steady hand, and enjoy working alongside others, you’ll fit right in. All materials are provided, and you’ll be part of a team that’s open, supportive, and not afraid to talk about life and death in a very real way.
Good fit for someone who:
Enjoys painting, DIY, or creative hands-on work
Is patient and happy to work at different paces with others
Likes being part of a social, slightly unconventional space
Has a good sense of humour and a down-to-earth attitude
Some painting experience is helpful, but it doesn’t need to be formal.
You’re patient, practical, and comfortable working alongside others in a shared space.
Being open-minded and respectful of people’s personal choices and stories is important in this environment.
Flexible hours on Saturday mornings, between 9am and 12pm (excluding long weekends and public holidays).
It doesn't have to be every week.
