Member Volunteers

Lions' Club members provide much needed financial and volunteer support to the Tairāwhiti community. They raise money for local causes, like the Hospice building and the Lions Cycle Park. They have instituted club projects such as the train rides at both the Children's Playground and the Botanical Gardens. They volunteer at other local fundraising events and are active emergency volunteers. All money raised goes directly back to Tairāwhiti fundraisers, not to administation costs. Without active members the great results of the past cannot continue. Today is a different world from the one that started more than 40 years ago, so we are looking for fresh ideas and new fundraising incentives. Enjoy a socially active time while supporting the volunteer community. Come and join us. Open to all, especially those new to the area, come and meet us.
