We deliver a day service to people with diagnosis of Dementia and who are still currently living in the community, providing the opportunity for them to come together for stimulating activities that add meaningful activeness to their day. We are needing volunteers to help these people participate in activities and exercise. You would also be involved in setting an up and packing up afterwards. You may also be required to help with food preparation, serving and doing the dishes.
We offer full on the job training.
Someone who has empathy towards others, reliability and punctuality, good listening skills, a sense of humour, and the ability to work as member of a team.
To be flexible with hours and different types of roles asked of them
From 2 to 5 hours one day per week or up to 3 days per week if you want more. If you are only able to do a couple a days per month, we are still interested in talking to you.
