Meals on Wheels is one of our longest standing and most recognised community activities – and one that is much appreciated by its recipients. More than just a carrier of hot meals, we deliver independence to many elderly and disabled people and those recovering from illness or hospital treatment. But perhaps most importantly, the service provides much needed regular social contact for the Meals on Wheels recipients.
Meals are ready to be delivered from the Hospital Kitchen at 11.30am each week day and are delivered to clients in their homes.
Be a part of this longstanding service making a difference in your community!
Full training will be provided and it is easy to swap days with other drivers when things crop up.
Volunteer one hour of your time, once every four weeks, on a day that suits you! So that's 11.30am-12.30pm on a weekday, at least one day a month.
