The Gisborne Crime Prevention Camera Trust are currently looking for CCTV camera operators to join our team!

We offer a variety of shifts with flexible hours to suit your schedule. It’s a great opportunity to meet other dedicated volunteers and work alongside Police officers who share a passion for community safety. As a CCTV operator, you’ll play a vital role behind the scenes, monitoring live camera feeds, spotting suspicious activity, and providing crucial support. Your sharp attention to detail and calm, focused approach could help prevent incidents before they happen. Join us in keeping our community safe - one camera at a time!

Requirements:
  • Clean police record
  • Good observational skills
  • Reasonable level of computer skills (using a software monitoring programme to view camera footage)
  • Understanding of your role as a volunteer
  • Reasonable level of writing skills to record observations on a monitoring sheet
  • Over 18 years old

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

At least 1 monthly regular volunteer shift, as organised with the Volunteer Coordinator
