Coffin Club Workshop Helper

Get hands-on helping with coffin finishing while supporting others in a relaxed, social workshop space.

This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll help with the final stages of coffin making. That might include sanding, painting, attaching hardware, or lending a hand to members who are decorating and personalising their own coffins.

You’ll be working alongside others in a friendly, down-to-earth environment where people share stories, skills, and a few laughs along the way. Some people know exactly what they want to do, others need a bit of guidance, and you’ll be there to support where needed.

You don’t need to be a builder or expert. If you’re reasonably handy and keen to get involved, the team will show you what to do.

Good fit for someone who:

  • Enjoys practical, hands-on work

  • Is happy to pitch in and help wherever needed

  • Likes working alongside others in a shared space

  • Is open-minded and comfortable around conversations about life and death

Requirements:
  • Some basic practical skills like sanding or painting are helpful, but not essential

  • Reliable and takes pride in doing things properly

  • Comfortable working independently when needed

  • Respectful of others and their stories

  • Willing to follow workshop health and safety guidelines

Time commitment:

Flexible involvement on Saturday mornings between 9am and 12pm (excluding long weekends and public holidays).
No need to attend every week.
