Our volunteer crew is a fantastic mix of people from all walks of life — from retirees with rich experience in engineering, railways, maritime, farming, building, and office roles, to those still working full-time as truck drivers, engineers, business owners, office professionals… and even a RocketLab team member! It’s a welcoming group where there’s always something new to learn and someone interesting to meet. No previous railway experience? All that's needed is just a willingness to lend a hand and be part of something special. (Though if you do have those skills, we’d love to put them to good use!) Whether you’re young, energetic, and keen to get stuck into hands-on tasks like lifting, cleaning, and general maintenance, or in your prime and have specialist mechanical or engineering skills we would love to have you on board.
Steel capped boots are essential in this role.
