Help make a difference in someone’s day! Provide transport and sighted guide assistance to Blind Low Vision NZ clients so they can attend appointments, social outings, recreational activities, or support programmes. Some activities may be one-off, while others could be ongoing—it’s flexible and based on your availability.

Full sighted guide training is provided.

Your time and support help members stay connected, independent, and active in their community.

Requirements:

What’s needed:
Safe and reliable driving skills.
Physically able to assist clients in and out of vehicles and buildings.
A warm, patient manner and good communication skills.
Willingness to complete sighted guide training (provided by us).

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Availability during daytime hours (specific times to be discussed).
