Groundskeeper

Turanganui a Kiwa Activity Centre caters to secondary school students to reset from their mainstream school, with a vision to return or move on to further education/training.

We're looking for someone to help with the mahi of keeping our grounds tidy. It includes lawn mowing, weeding and gardening. Sometimes our tauira (learners) mow the lawns and there is also the option of a ride on mower!

If you enjoy working with rangatahi there's the opportunity to incorporate your mahi with mentoring our tauira; our learnings are activity based and steeped in Te Ao Maori.

Requirements:
  • Physically fit for lawn mowing and gardening.
  • Able to work independently

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Flexible; the lawns will need to be maintained outside of school terms.
