A Practical Guide to Governance

We are thrilled to welcome Megan from Exult to Tairāwhiti to deliver a hands-on governance workshop that cuts through the fluff and jargon. This practical session shares clear models and real-world ideas of what good non-profit governance looks like, designed to spark meaningful discussion within your organisation.

The workshop is an excellent introduction for new governing group members and a valuable refresher for those with governance experience. The focus is on ensuring your whole governing group has a shared understanding of roles and responsibilities, and on agreeing how governance will work in practice for your organisation.

You’ll attend alongside up to seven other community organisations, with each organisation seated together and working through activities as a team. This format allows for focused discussion at your own table, as well as opportunities to share insights and approaches to governance practice during full-group discussions.

To get the most value from the workshop, your GM, CEO, or operations lead attends, along with at least 80% of your governing group.

Thanks to funding we are able to offer this workshop at a heavily discounted rate of $79 per board and includes lunch.
