There is no selling. It is a courtesy phone call to determine whether different organisations would like information about the Rural Youth and Adult Literacy Trust services. We assist rural and isolated teenagers, and adults improve their reading, writing and numeracy. So, we need people like you to promote our services to various organisations around New Zealand.
It's all about people helping people improve their social, economic and family interactions through improved literacy outcomes. And your role in being a phone call superstar goes a long way to helping the trust get its services into different communities and organisations.
Calls can include ringing places like libraries, companies, and social assistance organisation's to check if they need brochures and information on the trust's services.
You can choose the type of call you prefer making. There is quite a variety of different options. All phone calls are made using an internet app (VOIP) from your home computer or mobile phone. You will need to enter comments into a spreadsheet. Hence, a computer and internet access are essential, but it won't cost you anything for the calls.
Our Community Coordinator will help set you up and support you through the process, and you will be supplied a call script to work from.
