To work closely with Blind Low Vision NZ staff based in Napier, recruit and support local volunteers and support Gisborne based recreational activities. To assist with keeping volunteer records up to date. 1-2 hours per week with flexibility. Part of the role can be completed remotely or home based.
Attend Blind Low Vision NZ orientation course and other training as identified.

Requirements:

Good organisational skills.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
An interest in people and ability to listen and communicate well.
Able to relate to a diverse range of people
Willingness to gain sound knowledge of sight loss issues and an understanding of Blind Low Vision NZ services.
Has a disability toilet, Has wheelchair access

A Police background check is required for this role.
